Having "Crime and Punishment" as a curatorial motto, stimulated dialogues between the various artistic areas of the event - visual arts, dance, classical music, theater, literature and cinema. The Festival Artes Vertentes brought together 58 artists from 15 different countries, featuring: Eliane Coelho, Jan Jansen, Daniel Rowland, Jacqueline Gimenes, Camille Kachani, Drago Jancar, Jacob Katsnelson, Grace Passô and Tomas Venclova.
Outside of Tiradentes, the Festival presented two parallel programs, one in São Paulo, on September 8, and another in Recife and Igarassu, in Pernambuco, from 25 to 27 September.
